It’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks for both Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes. They have gone from being two solo pop stars, to being two members of the hottest new group around – Fifth Harmony! To cap off their first week as a newly formed group, they took on one more challenge – performing at Global Citizen Live in New York City!
Fifth Harmony is in support of Global Citizens’ attempt to end world poverty by 2030. It’s a lofty goal, but the young ladies are more than up for the challenge! Performing in front of 20,000 fans at New York City’s Central Park, they delivered an amazing set list with all their hits – Work From Home, Worth It, All In My Head (Flex), BO$$ and more. Then they performed one of their new songs together – the upbeat, hit single That’s My Girl!
The excitement didn’t stop there though – Camila and Shawn went backstage to talk with a group of kids who are Global Citizens at a young age. The duo taught them the dance to their new single, That’s My Girl! Camila and Shawn were beaming after teaching the kids – Camila said that it is just what you would hope for in a collab with someone.
Fifth Harmony also announced that they are releasing an original song for Disney’s Descendants 2. They released the theme song, called “Ways To Be Wicked” a few weeks ago. They also revealed that the music video will be out on June 30th!
In other news, Camila has been keeping busy with her solo work too. She recently released a new single called Crying In The Club which is climbing up the charts right now. She also recently released her music video for the song, which you can watch right here!
Finally, Shawn Mendes announced that he is releasing an album with his band in September. He will release a new single every month until the album comes out in September! You can pre-order it now on iTunes or Amazon . He also revealed that he is going on tour with Austin Mahone, and that tickets will be available this summer. Watch the interview here!
