Hours after BCB went on the hardline over a controversial deal with a subsidiary of betting site Betwinner,
Shakib wrote to the board to withdraw from the deal.
BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon had earlier said that Shakib will not have anything to do with Bangladesh cricket if he does not withdraw from this contract.
After this incident, Shakib hurriedly returned to Dhaka at midnight on Friday (August 12).
Although Shakib was originally supposed to return home on August 14.

Meanwhile, after canceling the contract, there is no obstacle to keeping him in the Asia Cup team for the time being.
However, the decision whether to give the captaincy or not will be decided after discussion with the head of the board.
Meanwhile, due to injury, Liton Das, Nurul Hasan Sohan and Yasir Ali Rabbi are also missing from the Asia Cup.
In the second match of the T20 series against Zimbabwe, Nurul Hasan Sohan was knocked off the field with a finger injury.
