The legendary mountain lion known as P-22, who has been sauntering through Los Angeles’ parks and hills for about ten years, will be apprehended and evaluated by wildlife officials, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife stated on Thursday.
This choice was made a few weeks after P-22 killed a leashed dog whose owner was out on a stroll in the Hollywood Hills with the dog.
After being found guilty of killing a leashed pet last month, “P-22 is a fairly aged cat in the wild and may be exhibiting signs of despair,” CDFW said in a news statement.
However, as P-22 has grown older, the difficulties of residing on an island have increased.
